Monday May 29, 2023
Monday May 29, 2023
TW, in today’s episode we talk about sexual assault, rape of minors and other conversations around these topics, if you may be triggered or these conversations may not be something you are ready or able to listen to at the moment we advice you to skip this episode and listen to one of the other 80+ episodes of the podcast!
Today’s guest is Harrison James, he is a Survivor Advocate, founder of Fuck Injustice & Consent Condoms as well as a Polished man Ambassador, he’s also just an all round legend of a guy!
Although a lot of the conversation today is quite heavy conversations that you might be used to having or listening to, after talking with Harrison we can see how important it is to be more open about having conversations like this and more. Harrisons story and advocacy is so powerful, I hope after listening to this episode you will feel empowered to have more open conversations about your experience and some of the things we discussed today as well as just feeling strong in using your voice!
Can’t wait for you to listen to this chat!

Ep. 78 How Patriarchy affects Men & Women | Pierre Fleury
Tuesday Feb 21, 2023
Tuesday Feb 21, 2023
Doing the work Pierre does is not easy, he opens himself up to a lot of backlash online and we dive a little into his experience being an advocate, how he deals with others perspectives and opinions.
This episode is perfect for anyone who might feel isolated in their experience advocating fo anything it can be super isolating if you don't find your people, it's also great for anybody who wants to learn more about what a patriarchal society means and how both men and women are affected by it.
These issues are not individual and we are outcomes of broken systems. I hope you enjoy this discussion as much as I enjoyed recording it.

His outlook on community and how he has seen people come together and what that can create in the right environment.
Lowkey warning, this ep might make you want to quit your job and travel the world with a bunch of strangers. I dunno, could be a great idea?

Ep. 75 Let’s talk about sex | Eloise
Tuesday Jan 10, 2023
Tuesday Jan 10, 2023
Eloise is the co-founder of FIGR where they recognised that there was a veil of shame tainting the real purpose of lubricant: to make moments of intimacy more pleasurable. So during covid they decided to launch FIGR, a lube company for 21st-century peeps!
In this episode, Eloise and I discuss not only her business journey but her personal journey growing up in a household where sex was prominent but still not discussed. As her father was the owner of Condom Kingdom (a sex shop in Australia). We discuss the lack of open conversations around sex, how it affects people, how it can cause harm and how it can make us feel as though we are the only ones who have no clue wtf is going on!
Eloise is so open in this discussion and I'm so grateful to have had her on the pod, she's an absolute delight and you're going to love this chat!
If you do this weeks challenge please be sure to let us know via IG or email @themillennialcrisis or hello@themillennialcrisis.com

This week's guest is Sa'ad Mustafā he is a Tiktoker, activist and social commentator. Sa'ad has made waves online with his social commentary, vulnerability and activism he has been shared and celebrated by celebrities including J-Lo & Justin Baldoni, and his videos have reached millions across the globe!
His virality isn't as impressive as his ability to share openly, to practice empathy and educate us through his commentary. In this episode, we talk about how he is content in his "imperfections", the mistakes he has made in his past and how he continues to learn and grow every day.
We talk a lot about his journey growing up around DV, how he pulled himself out of rock bottom, his mental health journey and his relationship with his parents.
I believe everybody can take something from this episode and Sa'ad's journey and feel super grateful that Sa'ad shared his story with us so intimately. Sa'ad is a genuinely imperfectly awesome guy, and I can't wait for you all to listen and take away a piece of Sa'ads story with you.

EP 73. How to Make an Impact in Your Own Way | Junie
Tuesday Nov 29, 2022
Tuesday Nov 29, 2022
This week's guest is Junie she is the Founder of Propel Innovations. Junie has a diverse professional background, having worked in Banking, Education, Health, Events, Hospitality and Not-for-Profits in Canada, India, Mexico, China and Australia. Her passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, strategy and technology is the driving force behind Propel Innovations.
Junie asked herself: “Where are the Black Bill Gates?”. She couldn’t see herself in the tech industry. When she read that an AI has an error rate of 35% of recognizing people like Serena Williams, Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey, she wasn’t astonished. Junie decided she’d bring her diversity of knowledge and lived experience by breaking into tech with no tech background to bridge the gap between product and people. Propel Innovations is on a mission to partner with companies to engage with the multi-faceted nature of their audience and in doing so, build greater business.
In the next 5 years, Propel Innovations wants to remove biases in the design and development of tech.
She is so inspiring and her passion for creating change in the world with her own skillsets. I mean, when Junie's not working in Propel Innovations, she's is out training for her next Ironman70.3 - I told y'all she really does it all! This ep really got me thinking about how I can make more of an impact on the world and what small steps I can take.
This episode is perfect for anybody looking for inspo on how to find purpose in not only their work but their life, Junie has played by her own rules and her curiosity and thirst for learning and growing is going to get you to take a small action in your world!
I hope you enjoy this ep as much as I enjoyed recording it!
Challenge:
Look at the list of resources on anti-racism in the below link and choose your medium of learning (reading, video, audio etc.). Pick one of the resources and take time to learn from the people on the list, perhaps you may see how you're contributing to a problem you thought you were working to fight against! I'm keen to learn and grow and see how we can implement what we learn into the MC to ensure we are actively working to be anti-racist!

Tuesday Nov 15, 2022
Tuesday Nov 15, 2022
Today's ep we talk about mental health, well-being and career success and how they are all intertwined.
Emma Stapelton is Head of Customer Success at Mecca brands, and as impressive as her title is, it's honestly the least interesting thing about her. Emma & I's conversation dives deep into what it took to get her to where she is today, her struggle with mental health, chronic illness and all the other sh*t life throws at you while you're trying to work and figure out who tf you are??
Emma is sooo wise, and shares so many incredible gems and tools from her own experiences that I can't wait for you to hear.
Challenge: Take a piece of paper & write down all of the change you've experienced in your life (work, personal etc.). After you do that, take another piece of paper and write down a list of your 10 best qualities (the things you like the most about yourself, your strengths etc.). Then take those 2 lists sit them side by side, and while you take a look at them think about how many of your best qualities you would have if you hadn't gone through all of those changes.

We touch on mental health and therapy and Dinch shares a lot about the importance of language and how he is mindful of his words. Dinch's outlook on language really changed my perspective and gave me a lot to think about, so I hope this episode does the same for you.
This is the perfect episode if you're feeling as though you're in a growth phase and are struggling to showcase that to those around you, Dinch shares some great ways of setting boundaries with your friends and family & having difficult conversations.
